Reading directions to Use?? - A Bless!!!!

28th Aug 2008 - 2:30 PM SFO

SV's stay in SFO is extended for another week. As all other B1 visitors, than my dresses , he carried all groceries and Podis(Thanx Grand sweets). Now do the extension, the rice packets i have brought was in short...

30th Aug 2008 - 10:00 AM SFO
So on the week end... SV.. walked away to Namaste Plaza , a near by shopping mall. With no great effort he was able to find the rice packets (1KG packets), got it after a lot of literal unwanted talks with a Indian girl on the POS.( he is not so different from other Indian Guys....:) )

30th Aug 2008 - 1:30 PM Extended Stay America Belmont
He was amazed to see the directions for cooking Rice(!!! I remember, namma ooru pakkam.. payyanukku sadam vaika theriyumnu solvadhu oru periya vishayam...). Believing that its written by experts and missing his wifes normal reciepee...(Riceku enna reciepenu kaetkaradhu.. ennaku pruriyudhu.. still...), he attempted... and the Rice started its fight with the water...

1:40 PM...
Every one would have half boils using egg. For the first time... he witnessed it a half boiled rice. Acting shrewed he added one more cup than prescribed.... and waited for another 5 minutes... Still half boiled... As a final attempt... one more cup of water and 5 more minutes...
1:50
He started his lunch.... with Paruppu arisi... Thayir arisi.....A Lunch was made a chat.... :(

A unknown stranger to digest for his stomach....

So the leasons are...

1. Never trust the directions to use for known reciepes (I find some toothpaste has this...strange world)
2. Always trust your better half / Mother's guidence.. because they know you better than a manufacturer......
