Strange to see such a un friendly training for engineers in their academics. Colleges are now bigger long hours training institue , which trains students on softwares of MS, Oracle, Rational Rose....
Seem to be a education lobby going on which actually induces thier Software in the acedemics, by which corrupt a life of a student.
A student once asked his teacher,"Master, what is enlightenment?"The master replied,"When hungry, eat. When tired, sleep."
The issue here is we all know that we should eat when we are hungry and we should sleep when we are tired. But the problem with us is on determining when we are hungry and tired.We see some one eating some delicious food. We feel hungry and we try that. We see many sleeping , we tend to feel tired...
So our practice is reversed.We dont eat when we are hungry, but we feel hungry when we eat something. Is that on a blunder???
The Acedemicians project as if they are giving the right composition to the students. But company which uses Visual C++ in India is seldom seen. They should have a vision which matches with the industrial need and not a project need, as the projects are decided by clients and not by acedemicans.
We in industry use PHP, perl, Spring, Struts, Hibernate on Linux with MySql. LAMP(Linux Apache Mysql PHP) is the buzz in industry. But our good students searches for a mouse pointer on linux. Pathetic.
Engineers are creators. Please allow them to create something. Dont create technicans who are capable of working on a single set of projects. If you have a UML training session, talk about UML. Dont train Rose.Because Rationale has its own demerits and it doesn't cover all the vertices of UML.Let teh students come out with choices of selecting a Rationale/ Visual paradigm/ or ArgoUML(Open Source). help them in deciding than pressurizing them on working with a single user friendly software, just because the trainers are trained for them...
FInally VC's change in Anna Univ. But the "Vidhi"(Fate) of the students remains the same.
We(Industry) Waits for Engineers atleast from next acedemic year.Can we see some atleast???
